Those Marvelous Cossack Dancers
24 August, 2007
Author: Francis Duggan
Without doubt Russia's finest how marvelous they can dance
I wish I could dance like them but of that there is no chance
For they are so athletic they jump and swirl around
And when they are performing the cheers for them resound.
One might say the best of Russian with them none to compete
The Cossack dancer in his prime a marvelous athlete
So beautiful to look at and so lively on their feet
For their athleticism, symmetry and balance they would be hard to beat.
Those marvelous Cossack dancers with them none to compare
They turn and swerve and glide around like the swallows of the air
They jump and shout and kick up their heels they never cease to amaze
They surely deserve their renown and are worthy of our praise.
For the marvelous Cossack dancers there is a loud encore
With their amazing performance they have us begging them for more
They do not even seem out of breath so elegant and proud
They bow their heads and before exiting wave to the cheering crowd.
