Rain
15 December, 2001
Author: Dilvorn
that perfect world you spoke of in rain
the world my mind and soul live within
unfortunately it seems, and it seems all too harshly
that reality is not where my mind falls kin
I don't understand it, and probably won't
but I know in my heart that there's problems with this
for where my mind lives, my heart and soul run free
but as it stands now, I'm bound by reality
the trust of another, is something I don't know
for it's broken so many times over
not down to my feet or over my brow
but down to my soul, that's why I don't know how.
I can't say what I mean, for fear takes the wheel
so I retreat into my world
happiness is a tranquility in peaceful sadness
longing for the openness, but finding no relent
know one thing, this thing that is true
no matter how incomplete the conversation
there is a love for one such as you
