Sorry Souls Of The City
23 September, 2007
Author: Miztrebor
Under the city lights
Were i was born
Under the city lights
Were your face first shone
In hollow alleys
Of the forgotten city
The sorry souls creep out alone
And take all your shadows
The essence they feed on
The entity they take
Only leaving behind a body with no meaning
To wander alone to find another soul
You can’t find them anywhere
But they’re all around
The ones you always look over
Never notice, and never cared for
Another sorry soul takes to the streets
Only to bring down another
The ones we look over
Actually are the ones who mattered
Ones looked upon when troubled
Took for granted to always be there
Never thought it could happen
Until it came one day
From behind it took my soul
What was left of it anyway
Now i’m just one of them
Sent out to find a way to change back some day.
