I Will Be Human

My eyes are heavy and forget about the world,
Feeling a sense of loss, when I haven't lost anything.
But I will open up my mind,
And I will make a choice, and it will be trained again.
I will realize what the world's intentions are.
I will look to this higher power, and lie to the openness of myself.
I will be trapped like a hyper puppy in a cage
With these dreams, these dreams.
I will be giving birth on a ship in the middle of a storm,
And know that this razor of doubt and suspicion will
Tear through me like ripped paper.
Love is a disease that feeds upon the souls of men,
Yet an angel in disguise appears, the sword-bearer
Beating back the baddies that seek to destroy me.
I will steal the hearts of millions.
I will swear upon that heart, that organ, and be connected.
I will be naked in a dust of rain.
Exposed to the world, a scent will befall my nose
And I will be swept away.
I will amputate my legs
So that I may choose myself
And become overly reactive.
My fear of the color yellow makes my paintings come alive,
And they will consume me.
I will see a spider crawling up the wall,
And the shadow of its legs
Will awake me screaming.
But I will not be paralyzed.
I am a leaf blowing in the breeze,
A soul unbound by gravity.
Let me fly.
