The Fourth Of July
4 July, 2003
Author: Dino Hi
A beautiful night, with the crescent moon
The seven stars of the big dipper, as the satellite zooms
Sounds of thundering mighty, midget racers
The sky littered with sparks, and tracers
The constant booms, and crackles all around
Kids yelling and screaming, rolling on the ground
Someones shooting pistals, and even shotguns
My dog is going crazy, barking and in a constant run
It's ten o'clock, and only the third
We haven't seen nothing yet, can't hear a word
Tomorrow's the big day, it's the Fourth of July!
Lot's of fires already, hurts and death, that ain't no lie
It's a three day weekend, outings and many cars
People traveling, going fast and far
I'll be glad when it's over, and enjoy the crescent moon
Watch the seven stars of the big dipper, and the satellite zoom
