Last Knight

Author: Ing Twi Demalah
I am not the light
But I serve it
I am the bringer of hope
Yet not the giver
I am the slayer
Yet my heart is often slain
I am the rock
Though not the foundation
I am the fire
Yet not the flame.
I am the always looked for
Though never expected
I am a mender of hearts
And often their thief
I walk before you
To stand behind you
I am the lover
Though rarely loved
I am the seeker of truth
And the herald there of
Against the pain and loneliness of life
Stand I in defiance of the night
I long to hold you in my arms
Yet dream that you hold me tight
I am the phantom
But not to fright
I am the tireless, the un-sung
One last knight

Bipedalguy (75.67.182.104) -- Wednesday, October 24 2007, 10:09 pm You were right. I do relate to it. The Red Tiger is a hard act to follow, (I think it's my favorite) but you followed it with a poem that's still outstanding. I wrote a Limerick about how you seem to give the credit to the pen. The Magic Pen Yes, miracles can flow from a pen. Mozart proved this and proved it again. But somehow I question the very suggestion that pens write poems while poets take ten. |
