Hide And Seek
25 October, 2007
Author: Laureano Eric M Garayblas
I hid behind the thick bush
And waited for the count of 10
Without the usual hurried hush,
I thought I would not be seen again
It took a time for them to realize
My shadow was nowhere in the sky
Painlessly stuck among the clouds, I was
Invisible to the human eye.
Then I began to count from 1 to 10
I looked around, finding no one
That was the time I could not understand
Why would people live to die?
I lost my pleasures, I lost my path
Confused with the maze that harbored my mind
Never I thought I would fail to hide
For playing with death, I found what is life.

The Legend (71.217.17.112) -- Saturday, November 17 2007, 05:47 am I like that last line. "For playing with death, I found what is life." For us adrenaline junkies. "Must live life, or die trying." "Lost pleasures, lost path, and a confused mind maze." Wow! This is something to work on. Nice poem Laureano. |
