Assonant Lives
5 November, 2007
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
I couldn't deal with the problems you face
I'm glad it's you; not me
Each able to handle different things
Facing demons, not able to flee
You couldn't deal with the problems I face
You're glad it's me; not you
Living with the hands we're dealt
Peaceful outcomes we both pursue
Neither of us is different
Though our lives are nothing the same
Making the most of our imperfect worlds
Pretending, to keep from going insane
