A Landscaper's Dream

The landscaper is creating his dream
He's standing in the middle of a rocky empty lot
The man sees visions of this imaginary far off place
Like a Japanese garden a wonderland of beauty getting ahh's and wow's
A place that excites the child and kid with-in
Walking through arching tunnels of trees and shrubs surprized from room to room
Thoughts of a garden lighthouse throwing beams of light at night
Creating shadows of dark mysterious hidden areas
A magical romantic place to walk around a lighted walk path
The tiki torches are burning over ends of a big red bridge
The rocks used spreading over massive dry river bed
He feels and sees this vision in his mind
The bubbling of water flowing over rocks and moss like a mountain stream
The sight of birds taking baths in the trickles of water
The smell of flower beds and roses displaying it's blooms
The spring of cherry blossoms and pink pedels blowing in the wind
The kid playing around the world on the basketball court
The child playing in the treehouse and splashing in the waterfall pool
The white dog chasing squirrels and running freely over miniature golf course grass
Picturing two decks with arbor and a connecting arching bridge over pond
The landscaper his wondrous vision of long ago
Sitting in his lounge chair his hard work of dreams now a reality
Watching birds and listening to the waterfall relaxing in serenity

Thanks so much

This was a difficult one for me to write. Most people plow into it blind, not knowing what to do. It all starts with a vision, in what's wonderful to you and then to capture a small part of it. I've tried two ways with this poem. One that rhymes and one that don't. This is the don't rhyme. Thanks Cap for your nice comment.

Niiiiiiiiiiicccccce!

This poem was written very inspirationally. I like the way you brought this whole pretty picture together. It sounded like a scene you would see at night. Great job, really loved it!

Rhyme not needed

Rhyme is not needed to create a beautiful picture, Dino and you have certainly done that!

Hay ! TAYTAY! thanks!

Thanks taytay for commenting on this poem. I'm real surprized to see a comment. The real garden is what's behind my yard, the wetlands. Nature does it so well,so beautiful, even wrote a poem about it,called "Nature's Park." The moss, water falls, ferns, strange flowers and huge trees. We try to capture a very small part of that for our own yard. Thanks for your comment.
