The Snowflake Fairies
30 November, 2007
Author: Catyrose
My precious child
The time is near
The snowflake fairies will soon appear
They gather patiently in the wintry night sky
Hush now, wee one, close those sleepy little eyes
The snowflake fairies are ready to fly
I hear their laughter in the midst
Longing to plant an enchanted fairy kiss
Upon your sweet and innocent face
Whisking you off to another time, another place
Soon you’ll drift in peaceful sleep
Across the meadows, the dell, the glen
With all of your snowflake fairy friends
They’ll take you on a flight tonight
To a land of beauty and delight
Where pixies, sprites, and elves do dwell
Such a story you will tell
You’ll meet a unicorn and Pegasus too
On this special journey they have planned just for you
Riding bareback through the wintry night sky
On the mighty Pegasus off you will fly
Sleep well, child
Rest peacefully
The snowflake fairies
Shall look after thee
