Remembered Tears

Those remembered tears of long ago
Your children taken away, might as well have been Tokyo
Over vast ocean of blue, now thousands of miles
Not like before, when I could visit, once in awhile
Remembered days to McDonalds, for happy meals
Now they're gone, not a fair deal
She's allowed to move anywhere she wants, you say
No stopping that, by law, they're on their way
Pre-school, kindergarden, first grade, they're so young
Years and years has flown by, like an old song sung
Only small memories of them, and lots of pain
Pains of why? What did I do wrong? Driving me insane
No real reason she says, just not compatible
In what way? No answer, not comprehending and not compromisable
Wishing now, I took a different fork, rewrite a new book
What if I turned left, not right, how would it look?
I missed all their growing up days
Dad wasn't there, to help show them the ways
Those days of pain, has had it's time to heal
They have grown up, to be good adults, and able to deal
Somehow, coming out, from the bottom of the barrel
Your able to survive, the ups and downs, of life's perils
Even though the road has been long, through many many years
Those where the years, of remembered tears

We're not superstars!

This is a poem of yours that has stuck in my mind and has help me to be brave. " When we write a poem we reveal our souls, and in doing so we lose some control, we expose our hearts showing wounds and scars, not intending to be superstars, and it does take courage to share our thoughts" Thanks Cap for your words. "Please be kind" For taking the time to leave a nice comment.

Thanks Dino

Your comment has brought tears to my eyes! If just one poem I write can help someone then I feel I've acheived far more than I ever imagined I could.

It's surprising what we are brave enough to talk about here on Dreamers Reality, where we know our friends really care!...and will be kind. We all open our souls at some time and I feel it helps to heal our wounds.

Bless you Dino!
