It’s not hard to recognize but she tries not to let it show
She’s got that look in her eyes she’s on the verge of letting go
She’s still there when he wakes up shell even manage a smile
But as he has his morning cup she knows it’s only for a while

She’s just going thru the motions trying to hold onto the reigns
Of a love that once raged out of control but slowly burned up in the flames
Her love is like a ship stuck on a windless ocean
Unable to sail, it’s just going thru the ocean

Her mind is so confused and you know she’s tired of crying
She don’t know what to do cause her love for him is slowly dieing
She knows his heart will break and there’s the kids to think of
So she’s afraid she’ll make a mistake even though she ‘s not in love.

So she keeps going thru the motions trying to hold onto the reigns
Of a love that once raged out of control but slowly burned up in the flames
Her love is like a ship stuck on a windless ocean
Unable to sail, it’s just going thru the ocean
