Mr. Perfect
5 April, 2003
Author: Dino Hi
Surely you've known someone that's nearly perfect?
Their mannerism, personality, their way of life they reflect
Mr. Perfect I call him, even though old, grandpa looking
Always smiling, never swearing or smoking, Fred Astaire styling
Meticulous in all that he touches, yet a big kid at heart
His zest for life is tiring, to keep up from the start
Everyday now seems like a holiday, it's time to play
Helping everyone, no matter what time of day
His perfect health, slender body, all his teeth and hair
Makes me envy, living life without a care
He's had his ups and downs, even loss his wife in divorce
She had everything, what was she thinking, nothing force
Who knows behind close doors, differance in personality
His riches beyond my dreams,
with grandchildrens, homes, ocean, mountain and city property
Living his life of leisure, taking care of Mom, now at eighty-six
Now I know where he gets his zest for life, as she sits
Still doing everythng on her own, driving, taxes, and spend
You've inherited a gift, you'll outlive me to the end
Thanks for being my friend George, when we met way back then
Your a rare breed indeed, your influance I feed
World would be a better place, if all men were like you, with no greed
With a heart of gold I'm told, my mind knows your impressive effect
Really no one's perfect, it's just what they project

Red Dragon (210.14.4.46) -- Monday, April 7 2003, 07:05 am Dino, your last line sums it all up...its the way people present themselves that we often believe that they're A-OK....but sumtimes tho, they project because they are afraid accepting the reality...just a thought here....hehehehe Mabuhay KA Dino...!!!!! |
Dino (67.27.46.42) -- Monday, April 7 2003, 08:02 am Mahalo(thanks)brah! For just your thoughts. Wanted to write something for my friend. A carpenter, now retired. We worked together on many different jobs. He's well liked by everyone. Takes the time to call you to see if your ok. "Afraid accepting the reality?" Maybe so? No one wants to be old. Maybe why he likes to play, go everywhere, have a good time, always on the move, up early, never staying still for long. Moving big boulders by himself,no machine, building his own house, with very little help, etc, etc. We will be racing dirtbikes together this weekend. Two old geezers! Now that's a he,he,he. A couple of kids! Mabuhay to the winner. Thanks |
