My Black Heart
10 December, 2007
Author: Brian Hamm
My heart is struggling
slowly dieing
slowly running out of time
Eager to want to be free
to be in love
It beats faster as it is terrified
trying to escape with no way out
because i wont allow it
I keep you on a leash of rusted chains
as i hammer a post of fears
doubts
and emptiness
through your core into my soul
This life is your collar
tied so tight that it cuts off your circulation
cuts off the power
as the lights go dim
Forever blinded with my soul
i wont let you see the light
only to wonder around
by yourself
lonely
getting soaked with tears that never stop falling
in my backyard of eternal darkness
