Stripes Of Sunset
12 December, 2007
Author: Pondering Red
Stripes of colours
in the sky -
oranges and pinks and baby blues.
They radiate the november dusk.
The colours melt into
each other,
so that they turn slowly
into a nightime darkness of
a majestic cold blue velvet.
I have had so many emotions
of happyness and sadness
and a roller coaster
of other feelings
that the ride has been dizzying.
Looking out my window,
satisfied with my own space,
I am excited by the view
of the striped sunset.
It mellows me with quiet contentment.
Yes, sunset stripes
cast a comforting thrill
to my recent struggles -
candy for my weary soul.
