Snowy Night

Snowy night
turns to rainy night.
Slick wetness on pavements,
draining last years evil and dirt
down under the city.

January rains..
Black hooded coat
gets drenched.
Her socks feel damp
inside her
guaranteed waterproof boots.

She clicks the camera,
attempting to capture
the metamorphosis
of snow drops into rain drops.

She feels what?
More invisible than ever,
except when her flash
illuminates the street
and makes people
turn around.

She enjoyed dinner
with her long lost friend.
He has not appeared
on any street corners.
She trys to delete
the coffee and carrot cake date
from her memory.

She aches enough
from carrying bags of grocerys,
from worrys,
from being invisible.

The street lights
enhance the falling rains..
Circles in the city light
Circles falling falling
cleansing cleaning
washing the street.

She does not know what else to do.
She follows the routine.
She awaits possibilities
of the new year.
She smiles a little.
She frowns alot.

Much beauty in this dark night of rain.
She cannot think anymore,
letting the rains
soak her to the bone
as she
walks
her usual route home...

:)

I love this one...I can see everything happening in my mind. Very good vivid detail! It makes me wonder why this girl feels so invisible....
