A Place I Go
23 January, 2008
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Within my mind I close my eyes
to a magical place I go
A place I visited long ago
when I was just a child
The trees they speak as they shake their leaves
the creek water trickles as it passes over stones
Relaxing I breath in the moist autumn leaves
And the cooling fall breezes bite gently at my cheeks
As the skies darken the frogs sing
and the crickets join in harmony
Stars twinkling in the deep blue background
Watching the shadows lengthen
Sitting in the low branch of a tree
legs swinging free beneath me
I take a deep breath in relaxation
At peace with the world
Within my mind I linger here
For just a few moments more
I know that reality waits for me
But for now I am free within me

This was reprinted from a fun poem that I wrote for a post in the forum.. I liked it when I was done so I thought I would post it here as well. |
