I guess smiles fade quickly
Especially those in memory
Happiness fades with distance
...If you've got me

I guess hearts close quickly
Especially those in pain
Love fades away with memories
...If you've got me

And why can't I be that perfect someone
Why can't I try and just succeed
Why can't I lead you into Heaven
To believe we're meant to be

So, you've figured me out pretty quickly
Ir at least that's what you think
Opinions hold you back from everything
...If you've got me

I want to do right by you
But the right things always seem to pass me by
Error leads to crossing that line to hatred
...If you've got me
