One More Day

You have the patience of a rock
Your stress level nonexistence, like sitting on a dock
Benn under pressure all your life
Seeing the illness, hurt, pain, and great love for your wife
Your time is getting close to it's end
The body in agony, bearing pain, and can hardly bend
Pass the retirement age, five-hundred more hours needed
Exhausted at days end, eyes and mouth droop, energy depleted
His internal organs been diseased, and removed
Suffering through life, now can hardly move
But this guy is an inspiration
Always laughing, singing, jolly, despite all the painful emotions
His pure white hair, would make him a good Santa Claus
To watch him work with pain, makes me applause
I'm sure glad I had the pleasure working with you Ray
Now sixty-six, give you a prayer to enjoy one more day
His singing "I remember you," He's a jolly good fellow, in every way
