Violet Night

rose clouds in the palm of the night
joy needled into the skin
lovers in a green field
lifted from a hat
his heart danced
as she began to sleep
he safely wrapped her in his arms
hoping it wasn't a dream
fireflies in the distance
shining in a violet sky
they twinkle with the stars
glowing; they never die
she awoke in a field of flowers
of all colors, they danced with the wind
his shadow appeared behind her
his darkened soul with her colors blend
