Airman's Creed
27 February, 2008
Author: Mark Spencer
I have surpassed the eagle, Lord;
I've flown above it all,
I've gone where only angels fly,
And the world seemed so small.
I've soared between heaven and earth,
Where mortal bounds are breached.
And I have gazed in wonder at
The heights you've helped me reach.
Yet if my journey ends today,
I'll leave here satisfied.
For new adventures lay ahead,
Across this vast divide.
At the end of every journey,
Another will begin.
And Lord, I'm eager for the chance,
To soar with you again.
Amen.
