Do Not Mourn Me
2 March, 2008

Do not mourn me,
I love you from a different place,
A place filled with so much love and peace.
Do not cry for me,
Cry for the living still in turmoil,
Fighting against disease and poverty.
I know you cannot see me,
And that's hard,
But I'm never far away - close your eyes.
Glance at my photo and smile,
Do you remember the cheeky me,
The kidder, the prankster, the joker.
Do not tell people how sad you are,
Tell them how happy we were,
The times we had, the memories that are so special.
Terrorism cannot destroy love,
Not the love we had,
It makes our bond stronger than ever.
One day we will be together again,
And you will see what I see,
Nothing but peace.
I love you, always have, always will.
Do not mourn me.
