Distance

Author: Silent Voice
Distance to trace
as if it was your skin
down a back of glistening delight
I travel again
holding on to your words
as if I saw them with sight
a haze has cleared my way
in this gray echoing void
of shadows that don't scare me anymore
they are a welcome
to this drunken state
I feel you now
holding on
falling as well
trying not to cuss
I am a mess
and very much a disgust
but you still hold on
as if I was your savoir in a storm
but I am not that
I have traveled too far
I have lost my way
and have traced nothing
I am going to fall
and maybe you should let me drown
