Watercolors

A meadow grows
in a forgotten forest
as my heart remembers
your loving touch
we sat and painted
or flirted I must say
a grassy field, near a river
on a sunny school day
It was a day I loved
and fell again for you
we were young
yet wise to see it in our eyes
the bond that still last today
holding on to our thoughts
of the words wishing to say
Our love has grown
but still I remember that day
a love new and exciting
wanting only to stay
and now I look back
and remember when a forest and a meadow
was all we needed to play
