Rain Drops Fall

vinebar

rain drops fall from a cloudy sky,
like someone upstairs is crying,
i feel so sad and don't know why,
like deep inside, i'm dieing,

rain drops fall from a cracked black road,
rivers formed run free,
it feels like i carry a heavy load,
like something's locked inside of me,

rain drops fall from an ashen sky,
i feel i should be crying,
its like i'm lost and don't know why,
like someone i know is dieing,

rain drops stream my cheek,
mixed with free running tears,
its like i've held them back for weeks,
now i must face my fears,

rain drops fall,
clouds roll in,
there's no one to call,
in a world full of sin,

rain drops fall across my cheak,
will they wash away my pain,
with every drop i no longer feel weak,
am i completely sane,

rain drops on my lashes,
reflect the pain i see,
like a living soul surrounded by ashes,
a reflection of the pain inside of me.

------- Author's Notes -------

i've always loved rain storms, its the easiest time for me to cry because my tears are mixed with rain, no one can tell the difference.
