Taken It's Toll
7 January, 2003
Author: Dino Hi
It's so hard, the struggle of life we're in
Working so hard, to reach the end
To late to start anew, need to retire
Too old, yet still too young to expire
Retirement job I need, this is for the young
Eyes,ears,bones,knees,back and lung
Contaminated dust all day, and muscle loss
Body has taken it's toll, paying a high cost
Help build this whole area up, miles around
Everywhere I look, from town to town
How much more, can this body take?
Aches and pains, head to toe, can't fake
Just want to sit, fishing pole, coffee, and sunset
From dust we come, and dust we go, with no regret

Capricorn (62.31.144.1) -- Friday, January 10 2003, 02:27 am I think I can relate here in a way. It is hard to be getting older, with aches and pains, not able to do what you used to, yet wanting to all the same. Know the feeling!! |
