Seandra Song
3 April, 2008
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Oh Great Creator
Of our future and past
Two world's collide
To the sea we were cast
Our brothers and sisters
The land they have crossed
Around it the long way
We swim but are lost
Our wretched cursed mothers
Cry mercilessly
As to the land go our babies
That were born of the sea
We go about our days
Lost and forlorn
Missing our families
Those to which we were born
Tell us Great Creator
Why it must be
Alone and forgotten
We must swim endlessly
Surviving at best
For this we must do
Till comes the red drift
To take us to you
------- Author's Notes -------
