Our Angels In Heaven
10 April, 2008
Author: Candice A Cress
Tucker and Walker;
As we lay you down to rest
In this place oh so beautiful place
We place flowers upon your small chest
Remembering you're is God's grace
You look so cute and peaceful lying there
As we calmly take one last look
I hope you know how much we care
We did everything by the book
You were just a baby, so young
Your body so cold, stiff and pale
As I recall my body went numb
As I got the news in the mail
Seeing your face for the last time
Your pale soft skin against the shroud
I wish it were me at the time
Tears of sadness spread through the crowd
Now as I look upon your grave
I see the reason you were born
And you were one we couldn't save
As you left us here to mourn
Upon this life you lead on Earth
You loved and cared for many of us
For this time you spent since birth
You grew and became part of us
For the short time you were here
Your first step was a lovely sight
Down my cheek flows a lonely tear
As you drift away into the night
For since the time you went away
My love for you has grown so much
I wish that you were here to stay
So I could feel your loving touch
As the days seem to crawl on by
And you are still not coming back
Too many time I have asked "why?"
Is it your love I seem to lack
So for now I will say Good-Bye
Don't forget how much I Love You
As I let out this one last sigh
This is now on its way to you
