A Free Buck
11 December, 2002
Author: Dino Hi
What's this world coming to?
Viewing the Christmas lights at "Zoo Lights" zoo
Spectacular display of millions of lights
Then after, a nice dinner at Denny's, by the Heights
After we're done, a young man standing by our car
Baseball cap, nice jacket, jeans, and a small face scar
Not skinny, clothes not soil, and handsome
Hey there! Can I have some money, any sum
Young man, you don't look like a bum, or starving
You've got no job? What's your problem of craving
I just need some cigarettes, they're five bucks a pack
Sorry, how about I buy you a hamburger, for a snack
No thanks! How about a buck?
Sorry, only big bills, you're out of luck
What's this world coming to? You can't eat cigarettes
Will the price of smoke fill his stomach, I just don't get it?
I just really wanted to say, have a nice Merry Christmas and New Years everyone!
