Despair's Follower
24 April, 2008
Author: Keith
I felt you calling me
Over the stars of distant light
Blinded by the brilliance
But I could never realize
That even stars have life
And even they can grey
But it was all too soon, I am
I am the seconds you wasted away
Thorns drew first blood
Drizzling across crimson petals
Consumed by the embrace
Yet scarred past recognition
Grasping for one more day
Hoping for an end, I am
I am the seconds you wasted away
I sit gazing into the mirror
A tool of judgement's lament
Unforgiving, heartless, it sees
The depths of my despair
Black roses forming deaths bouquet
A bitter-sweet symphony fades, I am
