Tequila Sunrise
28 April, 2008
Author: Catyrose
The morning dew caresses blades of sweet grass
A soft summer breeze whispers in these four corners
As the earth prepares for the break of day
A tequila sunrise begins to stir
Arousing us from peaceful slumber
Casting a glance at nature’s splendor
Marveling at the master’s canvas spread across these desert skies
As the seconds slowly pass
Vivid hues of crimson and ginger
Mingle effortlessly with flecks of gold
The sun rises
Spreading it’s warmth across the palest of sands
In this land of enchantment so aptly named
A new day bursts forth, the skies ablaze
Proclaiming the dawning of yet another day
