Enter Muse

Author: Puppet
A grazing hum surrounds me,
Notes and chords implanted and impaled
Echoes and bends
Beats like a travelling storm over jade-hazy prairies.
High, low, it flows and slips away;
Waves swelling, into a mind
Nearly breaking with fusion and song.
Stories of color, fanciful weavings,
Artists floating and hopping atop forests of green.
Two shadows, clad in silk, death in hands,
Fighting for quiet.
Drifting, staring, as though possessed,
Rapier-blades flash, like a thousand young stars,
Tumbling wildly,
Flailing blindly,
Light surrounds them, conceals them,
Takes them up, up, and slips them away.
Approach the hue-speckled horizon, stretching far-off,
On top a dusty mount, I can smell freedom.
Alive in darkness but dead in sand,
Electric karma plays forever on,
Universal,
It and I dream of the vast expanses of myself.
Inner speculations, restless contemplations,
Seen all in ultrasound, I daydream some more:
I have come to know my ceiling very well.
