Darkening Flame Of Love
22 May, 2008
Author: Thampuran
Few words remained in them
to say something lovingly.
All sweet things whispered
Now turned sour beyond reason.
Nothing happened between them
still the flame starts darkening.
Sitting in the evening park
She put her head on his shoulders.
They looked together the garden
feeling fragrance differently.
He heard dying flowers mourning
She saw the treading of dead leaves.
Many a breeze hushed passing them,
No moon shone through the clouds.
The creeping dusk, the dripping mist
Made them sad with many memories.
They left the park walking hand in hand
each step leading to a distance unknown.
