My Bestest Friend

Author: Clive B Ringshall
Back and forth within my mind
I sorry she left my world for another,
Never got to say goodbye,
Never got to see her once more,
I sat and cried, and cried some more,
I talked to others, who knew her too,
She is better now that she has gone,
Being selfish I still want her back,
In my heart I called her name,
Once was heard and now forgot,
Guess she’s gone never to come back,
Felt her spirit close last night,
Warm and secure I felt her near,
I’ll see her again on that day,
Times my heart feels heavy and sad,
Then it warms and feels no pain,
I hear her voice still in my head,
I smell her love as a memory near,
I miss the bond that we once shared
I think of her as my bestest friend
