Be Yourself, Not Someone Else
9 July, 2008

Do you hate yourself that much?
Do you hate the way you are?
You hide behind your own face
Hide your true self from the world.
You see this to much in the world,
Don’t you?
I see it all the time
But your will is to weak
Why do you let them make your decisions?
I see it everyday
“How do I look?”
Why does it matter?
You shouldn’t depend on others
Not that way
Superficial ways will kill you soul
Materialism is a thing of the past
You’ve learned about its problems
It’s never good to the end
You’ll just die cold
Feel with your heart
Not with your hand
Not even wit your eyes
Others could care less
So keep your opinions in
You can’t change them
They’ll just laugh back at you
The way you laughed at them
Embrace a new philosophy
Think only of yourself
But don’t think too hard
Do only what you want to do
Not what you think you want to do
Knowledge is important
But not from books
It can only be learned from life
Experience the world
Be yourself and you can learn more
More than by being someone else
To act the way you want to be
Not what you see on T.V.
It’s all fake, it can’t be real
All they want is to control how you feel
Be yourself
Make yourself
Be what you need to be
To get by
