A Vampire With A Soul
9 July, 2008
Author: Miztrebor
I always hide,
Even when you see me.
I’ll always be there,
In the shadows of my mind.
Never in the light,
For it blinds me.
Vampire appearance:
Pale and lifeless.
If there’s something I’ve learned in this life,
It’s that nothing is what it seems.
Live in the darkness
Where these are no friends.
No on to talk to
But that’s how this life is.
You see people live
And die the next day.
You try no to get attracted
But can’t keep from caring
They’ll ask you to save them
You tell them that you can’t,
They may think immortality is great.
That they’ll live forever,
Well they’re wrong!
Each time I seen one of them die
I die too.
But there’s nothing I can do,
Only let them pass.
For as long as I’m around
I will feel each death,
For there were many
And there will be more.
I don’t want to suffer
And don’t want you to either.
Thus burden is too much
For the both of us to bear.
Listen very closely:
You’re only going to live once,
Make the best of it.
You’re only meant to live once,
And that’s enough.
Don’t be like me,
Fighting the cycle.
It’s not glamorous
I die every day,
And wish it would end.
It will never end,
Even with this stake in my heart.
My soul is still here to suffer.
Someone just doesn’t think,
It has suffered enough.
I’m left here to wait
For the day that I’ll fall.
