Lost In Rome

The love angels
assigned to Cupid
brought back
love to me
I remember exactly
how much this excited me
jumping over mountains
is how my heart felt
Feelings sweeter
than any flower
I have ever smelled
And just as quick
as Jack jumped
over the candlestick
They took him back
again
far away
I remember when
As if it were yesterday
I do not know
If he knew or not
The World continues to turn
The statues in Rome
Remind me of him
I try not to cry
As the statues
Begin to burn
In my heart
For him I will always yearn
Love was hard
To let me go
I am lost in Rome
