Regret

I held the hate, the love the fear
What I regret most is not holding you dear.

I held the greed, the love the lies
What I regret most is not caring if you cried.

Alone in the dark, laughing in my dreams
While you lied next to me, your heart shredding at the seams

I saw the sorrow and felt a bit for you to
What I regret most is not holding on to you.

I lay in the dark, you not near
...what i regret most most is not holding you dear.
