Ole Bill
2 July, 2002

I hear them wheels a hummin,
While ole Bill was in the sleeper,
On his guitar he was a strummin.

I hit a big bump in the road,
The flat bed trailer.
Lost it’s load.

Yep it flipped and ole Bill’s,
Finger slipped.
He missed a string,

What a sound,
That guitar,
Did bring.

That screech was louder than the load,
As it scattered on,
On the road.

Ole Bill took his guitar and got out.
On his face, I could, see him pout,
He walked down the road,

He stepped over,
The load,
If he ever drove a truck again,

I don’t, Know when,
But I did see him on the tv.
I guess he did better than me.
