Storms That Come Our Way
31 August, 2008
Author: Eve Hall
Today, like all days, I am blessed.
To awake to another day of life…hearing the birds sing.
I have once again…been spared…to pray for others.
Life…is hard…friends ease the burdens…the trials.
We are here today…gone tomorrow.
Complain, sure…we are human…imperfect, even spoiled.
All the money in the world…can’t buy life.
Work to enjoy life…don’t let work control you.
Spend time with family and friends…have no regrets.
Give our loved ones flowers…while they are alive
Not when they’re dead, to put on their graves.
Continue to pray for others…not just when things are bad.
All of us basically want the same things…
Family, friends, good health…to be loved.
There is no room for jealousy…covetousness.
We can help change this world…that is out of control,
By first…changing ourselves.
It can be done…in spite of.

May we keep these ones in the line of Gustav in our prayers. |
