A Fathers Prayer
5 September, 2008
Author: LCN
Dear lord I come to you
A very humble man
I’m asking for your help
So I hope you lend a hand
You see I’ve become a father
And I don’t know what to do
I’ve never been here before
And now I turn to you
When I look into his eyes
Mine fill up with tears
Emotions overcome me
Like the sadness and the fears
Do you think I have what it takes
To ever be a dad?
How can I be something
That I never had?
Will I make the same mistakes
That my father did?
Will I now be the one
Who slaps around his kid?
So I’m asking you to not let me
Do the things that he done
And I’m praying for you to help me
Be a father to my son.
