For My Blue-eyed Boy
20 May, 2002
Author: Anjali Thapa
Every time you smilingly
Open the door ajar
Rays of beautiful hopes
Caress my ivory breast
Harlequin butterflies
Adorn my raven hair
Warblers in orchestra
Sing in high notes into my ears
Every time you grumpily slam the door behind
My hopes,
My very hopes go to pieces
Butterflies vanish to nowhere
Warblers sing a melancholic ode
As for me,
I get lonely once again,
As always.
