Rooms Of Truth
22 September, 2008
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
I walked from room to room
each room was the same, yet different
They looked the same at first
But once my eyes adjusted.. they were not
Each room was a different part of me
One quiet and peaceful
One dark as night
One was enlightening and another filled with fear
Every room a vision of another time in life
mirrors of such, reflections,
of nothing but me
With messages of tomorrow; messages from myself
In each room only I was standing there
like a puppet dressed in black
acting out the emotions
Like a macabre mime performing my every truth
Sometimes it was hard to face the reality
memories, un-mistaken in my face
each one embraced
no matter to beauty, pain or arrogance
I mumbled words I could not fully understand
As each face of me I looked upon
a different story told
Finally the words came clear..
"This was then and this is now"
