My Fire Pitt
19 October, 2008
Author: Marilyn A F Longfellow
Pull up a log and have a seat.
Around my fire pit.
The moon is full. The breeze is cool.
Shadow's dancing all around it.
The crackling embers float up high.
Get captured by the dew.
Like our tears we all must cry.
God wipes them dry for you.
Sip some cider. Cook a dog.
Marshmallow's blackish goo.
Tell a tail that scares the most.
Sending shivers all around you.
My favorite time of year is Fall.
It's smells and harvest moon.
The vibrant color's all around.
And your love snuggled up beside you.
