When The First Snow Falls
22 October, 2008
Author: Miztrebor
The rain fell all day long
The cold had taken over everyone
I saw phantoms running around
Swift shadows in and out of the buildings
The wind was picking up
Rain felt like ice against my face
It was a cold, dark, wet night
Most would have been miserable
But i was in joy
I went to sleep smiling
Dreaming of what i knew was to come
The morning chill awoke me
I was immediately entranced
Looking out my window
I saw no color, only white
The rain had turned snow
And the land was quiet and at peace
I took up my board and goggles
Set to the slope
Gliding down on fresh powder
This is what i do
When the first snow falls
