That Which You Don't See
31 October, 2008
Author: Christian V
Beauty can never
describe you
for it is not a
strong enough word
The essence you carry
is one that none shall
ever compare to
your internal glow
so lustrous
that even the heavens
must turn away
the image you see
as the mirror casts back
is nothing more than a farce
for the mirror is such a lowly
peasant that he cannot
capture the true view
of yourself
So even if I
A lowly subject likes that
of the mirror
could ever write a sonnet worthy of
your name
then possibly I could
dub my life complete
so please think not lowly
but always remember
that even as the days grow older
you simply
grow more beautiful
