Alone With His Guitar
13 November, 2008
Author: Hope
Any help he refuses
He thinks what's the use
Lost interest and withdrew
Becoming a recluse
Closed everyone out
Yet he has not said why
Others cannot get through
Access he will deny
Keeping his silence
Its not how he used to be
All his reclusive behavior
Remains a mystery
Alone with his guitar
Is it helping him to cope
Was he singing the blues
With continued hope

anonymous (71.217.42.234) -- Sunday, November 16 2008, 05:45 am I was this guy 35 years ago. This poem has brought back those memories with my guitar, making up songs and playing on the beach, watching the waves. That guitar relieved the stress and pain. He will get through this time in his life. Thanks Hope, for a very nice poem and let's hope for the best. |
