A wooden box filled with mementos
Photos of those I have come to love
Snap shots of the fun times we did share
Heartfelt sentiments written with loving care

Placed in a drawer beneath
As I read tears well up in my eyes
Which I try desperately to disquise
All at once I feel the power of love
That comes only from the one above

The years I spent here
Will always be held dear
I’ll not forget
The kindness shown
Your love, your care
Have helped me to grow
Sadly I bid you good-bye as I turn to go

You gave so much more than I
Your gentle, tender touch
Will always mean so much
To a heart once broken
Now healed
I will always treasure our times together
In my heart we will remain friends forever
