Everyone Is Gone Now

Everyone Is Gone Now
Love is a memory.... as is passion.
No one to love now except children now grown....
and gone.
A cat named Sneaker sleeps beside me at night....
while I hug a pillow and call out many names.
Only one of which I wish I could hold just once more.
Who knows....?
Maybe once before I'm too old to feel,
someone will come into my life....
and hold me like the old days????
Did I miss the love of my life?
Is she still to come?
Or is everyone gone now....
is it too late?
Please tell me that it's not too late....
and you're not gone.
We just haven't met yet.
I'll wait on the corner for you....
till they tell me I have to move.
To God knows where!
