A Peaceful Good Bye

The heart monitor hummed its farewell tune.

The V-Tach demons were dancing in joy,
Yearning to devour her sleeping heart
And longing to steal her wailing soul.

Above her corpse, tiny angels hovered,
Unable to bring her back to life for another year;
Each one whispered her name then breathed on her flesh;
They longed to see her inner sky blaze azure, again.

The heart monitor hummed its farewell tune...

Good bye, dear Mrs Lovejoy.
